Buying Books & Taking Donations

Book donations will be accepted on the First Sunday of the month from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Our starting date will be October 5th, 2025. Please DO NOT drop off books at other times. 

While we accept book donations of any type of book, in any condition, and from any year, given our small size and limited staff, it can quickly become overwhelming to accept book donations outside of designated times.  Upon drop off, please only use designated parking spots. Any books we cannot use will be donated to local assisted living facilities, hospital waiting rooms, early literacy programs, and others to ensure every book finds a good home.

Yes. Starting September 17th, ep•i•logue will begin to purchase Used, Like New books from local community members. We strive to stock our shelves with Current* and popular titles in Like New* condition. However, due to our limited shelf space, we are not able to purchase every book, even if it is a favorite. 

*Current means books published within the last 10 years. Some exceptions may be made for those books that are timeless classics in like-new condition. 

*Like New condition means books that have no stains, water damage, writing, highlighting, or moldy/cigarette smell. Covers and spines should be in good shape and all pages fully intact. This is a universal standard for purchasing used books among book resellers. If you have any questions, please reach out!

Our Buying Process: Please follow these steps to be considered for book buyback.

1. Please email raaschm@epilogue-books.com with the following information for ALL books available for purchase.

a. MAKE SUBJECT LINE: “EB Buyback - [Your Name]

b. Include the following information

• Book Title

• Author

• Photo of the books. You can either send a picture of each individual book or a group photo of all the books. If there is any notable damage to a book, please include a photo highlighting the damaged area.

• Preferred payment method - cash, store credit (See Full Policy for payment breakdown)

• Contact information - Name, Phone Number, Email.

2. Once we have received your email, we will review your books and respond within three business days. We are a new and small business, this policy is our starting point. As we learn and troubleshoot, ep•i•logue Books may update, change, or remove our policy at any time.
